One Time....I forgot I had a BLOG!! The Pressure.

So, a couple weeks ago, I went ahead and dropped my camera...good times. Needless to say, or maybe "NEED TO SAY" my inner fire for blogging... left. I know, I know. I don't have to have pictures to blog--but why not when it feels so right? While I waited for it to get fixed (and for the small loan to clear that it took TO fix it) I thought about what I would blog when the occasion arose again. It just came to me. PINK BUBBLE GUM leotards! My version of "Girls in white sashes!" AHHH! These are a few of my FAVORITE things!! Aspen started dance lessons at my Alma Mater this fall and I'm not going to lie...my heart skips a tiny beat each Wednesday when she prances down the stairs in her bubble gum pink! This little girl of mine has serious fashion (shall we say) parameters. So the fact that she is willing to wear a leotard at all is rather impressive. She despises attention (clearly from my side) and so we'll see what happens come performance time...but for now, she LOVES the class and loves the leo. Could ya squeeze her?

So, I answer my door Monday afternoon to a handful of First Graders looking for "Jack's Dad." Apparently, the word on the street (or at least in the lunch room) was that Jack's Dad was gonna jump the porch after school. Yeah, for reals. Much to their disappointment, said Evel Knievel wasn't home from work yet and so they were turned away...unentertained. BUT, the First Grader in THIS household was not about to give up so easily. Jack helped his Dad prepare for the stunt by clearing the entire porch which currently houses a whole lotta pumpkins. He was not disappointed. Way to go Evel! Next up....the roof?

This picture is a little blurry...BUMMER....Because it was taken at (hands down) the cutest 1st Grade Halloween Program I have ever seen. Possibly the only, but that doesn't matter! It was A-dorable! They sang. They told jokes. They had finger puppets and props! Stop it. It was fantastic! Jack was a little metronome on the front row, just a swayin' back and forth to keep the nerves down and the beat up. A-DORABLE. Miss Hansen, you are a wonder!
