I love the FALL!! It is my favorite season of the year. After this past weekend, I was feeling rather ROBBED! I thought we might just be skipping it all together! The first snow storm of the year hit late on Saturday and my kids were in full snow gear by Sunday afternoon. We had enough to make a snowman for cryin' out loud...even if they did have grass stains. My geraniums are still in full bloom, the leaves on our trees are green, and by dang, I WANT SOME LONG SLEEVE, slightly chilly, LET'S MAKE PUMPKIN SQUARES kind of WEATHER! Please. So before it's too late to mention...
10 Things I love about FALL...
10: Kindergarteners (in general)
9: New School Shoes
8: Pumpkin Sqaures (isn't everything better with cream cheese?)
7: Newly Sharpened Pencils (My shout out to "You've Got Mail")
6: Long Sleeve T-shirts (in layers...even better :)
5: Multi-colored leaves
4: Hiking with my kids looking for #5
3: Raking leaves (it's a sickness, really)
2: Cornstalks and Bales of Hay on Porches (something I've always been too lazy to do, but love the look. ) I've often wondered if farmers think this is hysterical. Profitable...but, hysterical.
1: My inner need to have donuts and hot cider at least twice.....a week...I meant month.

Umm, Liza... you forgot to mention going to the corn maze with a bunch of psychotic teenagers. That has to be on the top ten, at least!! I can't believe you had snow already! That's insane! I'm truly appreciative, for the first time, that I'm here and not there. It's been Fall here now for about two weeks. Even though we've had lots of rain, the leaves are falling and you can smell fires burning outside. LOVE IT! I need a pumpkin square recipe... seriously. You should post it for me. I'm in dire need of some cream cheese.
So, I stalked your blog off of Chad and Tenaya's - and had to say Hi; really, because I hear about your little Jackson from my Abby EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! She was even doing impressions of him last night.
I think she is smitten...and with good reason.

Ditto on the bouquet of newly sharpened pencils. Don't you just love her shop in that movie? If I owned my own business, that's what it would be.

I agree that we were robbed of fall on the day it snowed. At least the weather is beautiful now. Fun to see your blog! Blogging is addictive, isn't it?!
