I have a love/hate relationship with the last day of school.
I love to see our kids faces completely light up at the mere thought of summer.
Oh the unstructured-ness of it all!
I hate that moment when we see their teachers for the last time. This woman (in both cases) that has been such a HUGE influence in their lives for a year. Gone.
It makes me sad.
They have both had amazing teachers and I always get teary as we take the last day pic.
Mrs. Hansen taught Jack that "first & fastest" rarely means best quality work at school or in life. People mean more than points and so many other awesome life lessons.
Thank you! Thank you, Mrs. Hansen!
Mrs. Sweat has opened Aspen's eyes to all sorts of new learning, from hatching chickens to traveling the world. She has loved being in Mrs. Sweat "land" for 2nd Grade. Thanks so much, Mrs. Sweat!
And now........let's PARTY!!
We have done a School's Out Ice Cream Party for 5 years now and I have never remembered to bring my camera.....until this year.
Nothing like saying "yes" to as much ice cream as you can eat! I think the record was 5 cones this year.
Bring on the fun!
