Aspen's Birthday continued....

No official party this year...just a whole lotta fun.  Sleepover & Cherry Hill with the family and some cousins.
And......

She has begged for about a year to get her ears pierced so we decided to do it for her birthday. 

It just felt right.

So....we grabbed her dear friend, Eliza for moral support and headed to the mall.  It was so exciting....right up until the first pierce.  No double guns for this girl.  I was hunting for the most mature face I saw and it was in the Silver Loft kiosk.  One woman.  One gun.  YIKES!  There was a moment there that I thought we'd be going home "pirate style."  Thank heavens for peer pressure!  If it had just been the two of us there would have been tears FOR SURE....but thanks to our trusty little Liza and her "you can do it" encouragement, Penny didn't dare turn back.  

Doesn't Chic-fil-A make everything better?
