I'm scared.
This is the scene that greeted me this morning.
I've been a little under the weather lately, so Tom has braved "the morning shift" alone...kids fed, lunches made, etc. Bless him. So, you can imagine my surprise when I came into the kitchen and saw my husband openly packin' heat with 3 kids in the room.
(Ok...you can hardly call airsoft guns "heat," but I was concerned nonetheless.)
He turns around and says something very similar to "Good morning, babe, today is the day we raid Osama bin Robin."
yikes.

At first, these beautiful little robins were adding a lovely soundtrack to our less than sunny spring mornings this year. But, as the weeks have passed, they have become an outright hazard. Tom has "evicted" them several times from the nest they insist on building in our dryer vent...only to have it rebuilt a few days later. I mean, you gotta admire their work ethic, but admiration only goes so far...it's getting dangerous. We have so many great trees all around...build away, I say, just not in the vent!
enough is enough.
Like I said, I'm scared.
As you can clearly see by that winking grin, Jack can hardly contain his excitement at the prospect of going Navy Seal with his father's blessing.
yikes.
(I should mention that no robins were actually killed during the raid....most likely just scared spitless to rebuild near the crazies.)
