Happy Easter 2011
My brother-in-law was telling me about a boy in his church class on Sunday. They were discussing the different symbols of Easter and the boy said so sincerely.....
"Well, I know the egg has some significance and we always need to wear light colored clothes."
So close. so so close. :)
I do wonder at times if our children are getting the "significance" of the celebration... or if they understand how truly grateful their mother is for this season to celebrate and what it means for the world.
Maybe because as we try to explain our truest feelings to them about Easter, my eyes can't help but wander to the fresh grass stain on Jack's new linen pants.
And I wonder why they have a hard time focusing?
18 Grandkids and counting...(2 missing from this pic.)
I had a very "back in my day" experience with this Easter Egg Hunt. As Aspen was flitting around my parents back yard looking for eggs....she picked up a hard boiled one, looked at it and put it back...thinking no one saw her. We were dying!! She had clearly deducted very quickly that it contained no candy and was therefore, not worth her time or basket space.

Look at you with all these posts! I'm loving it!
My Grandma did hard boiled eggs for Camden's hunt and I was thinking, "really?" :)
They all look so cute in their easter duds...love that Penny knows what she wants, and hard boiled eggs are a compromise!
