This girl hatched a plan sometime in mid-January, yes January, that she would like to have a tea party on March 23rd. "Sounds fun," I said.
"Why March 23rd?"
Because (and I quote) "its the perfect day for a tea party."
Now, I ask you....could you say no to this face? Me neither.
So she got right down to planning......for the past eight weeks.
She collected craft items. streamers. No tea actually.
She organized and reorganized each and every supply, almost daily.
(I can't lie...it has been a total delight to watch. )
She assured me along the way that I didn't need to do anything, except buy the stuff she hadn't been able to locate around the house.
"Oh, is that all?" I said.
After a discussion about how to talk to your mom and a party limit of $5.00, I was given the following list:

Not sure what the "Duck Tape" was for....but conveniently, I mean unfortunately, I couldn't find "one." anywhere. ;)
The crafting circle.
The cookie deocrating portion of the party.
The being 6/7 years old part of the party.

A big THANKS to some very sweet friends who cleared their schedules for the "event."
(And oh yeah, the "tea" part was a glass of lemonade outside on the swings.)

Penny, may you always remember the sunshine you constantly bring into our home.
