This one time.....I turned 32!

Now, I realize the implications of posting about my own birthday, but I can't help it.
It must be done.
What a nice day.
Tom had to fly out of town, just that day, 5 am to 9 pm. I'm not going to lie, I was disappointed because he was my birthday.
elevate your thoughts.
We had previously talked about spending the day together. My favorite. Taking Aspen to school. Grabbing some lunch, maybe a movie. Together.
Plans redirected
(notice I didn't use the word, Change) opps!
Instead, I spent the day with my favorite "second stringers." My sisters and some dear friends. Thank you all.
You made my day!
I know that Tom felt bad, so bad infact, that he decided to e-mail his entire Contact list and ask them to wish me a happy birthday. Beyond awkward...thanks, babe. I logged onto my e-mail that morning greeted by a whole lotta "Happy Birthdays" from people he works with to mission companions (12 years ago) :) Many from friends and family. Very sweet.
Throughout the day he texted (word?) me 32 reasons he is glad I was born. Does it get sweeter? I submit to you it does NOT.
Cheesy? "You betcha." - thanks Sarah
Thoughtful? AS ALWAYS.
I love you, T.

That is not cheesy! That is sweet and romantic. Tell Tom he needs to share that idea with the rest of the men in priesthood meeting some Sunday. Hope you had a great birthday anyways!

Happy Birthday! I feel like a louse of a friend. And, tell Tom I'm hurt. If Chris and I had been in that contact list of his, I could have wished you well earlier. THANKS, TOM, for having my back.... :)

Tom is not one bit cheesy! He sure loves you lady! Somehow, no matter how old we get (and man you're getting old:)) a little part of us wants the world to stop and honor us on our birthday, a national holiday maybe. Too much to ask? I think not! BTW-I love how your blog posts sound just like having a conversation with you-so fun!

What a man. Can he give Chad some pointers? Remember my anniversary this year? Yes, I'm still not over that one!
