SPRING BREAK 2012
Capistrano Beach, CA

Prepare for picture overload.
I mean it.

We went on our 3rd Bi-Annual trip to California with my whole family for Spring Break.
Yep, all 35 and a half of us!
So many words to describe this week......
Entertaining. Crazy. Sleep Deprived (from James antics alone). Chaotic. Fun. Fun. Fun.
Hard to believe there are 4 grandkids missing in this picture, but there are. The hot tub was definitely the hit!  When you're dealing with March temperatures and the ocean...a hot tub is the main attraction.

James was completely obsessed with the outside shower.  I gave up on keeping him dry after the 3rd clothing change....daily.

 Seriously, that face!!!

Tom recently purchased an inflatable stand up paddle board.... something he has wanted to try for years.  "Inflatable?"  I said.  "That seems a little counter-intuitive to the whole 'standing up' idea, doesn't it?"

Unbelievable.  Truly one of the cooler things I've seen.
You would have NEVER guessed that that thing came in a tent bag.  Upon blowing it up, it was as hard as any surf board and perfect for standing on, I guess.  I "stand" corrected.  :)
He and my brother in law, Jeff, were out there for hours and have the trashed feet (that only taking a few wave beatings can give you) to prove it.  They loved it!

Jack fell and hurt his arm at school the day we left for California.  We thought it was just bruised because he still had a bit of motion and grip.  Once we were at the beach house, he hurt it again. I decided to take him to get an x-ray simply to prove to him that it wasn't broken and that it was just sore and he needed to toughen up!   I'm awesome like that.  Of course, it ended up that he fractured it.  So he was in a sweet brace for the week and then we had it cast once we got home.   I'm such a good mom sometimes.  : (

The seaweed jump rope.

The handstand contests.

 Barlow Family Olympics.
With a crew this big, it can't help but be entertaining.  And a bit competitive.

 The Ballon Race.

The Tic-Tac Shake.  (I am quite certain I felt my brain hit my skull a few times.  eek!)

 The Tug-O-War.

The Easter Egg hunt in the park.

The Girls.   Ryann, Aspen, Sydney, Belle, Kendall
Minus our newest niece.  6 week old Samantha.

 The Treasure Hunt.
Love Dylans face in this...."hey guys, what the heck are we doin' anyways?!?"

The overjoyed.

Kite Flying.

Such a fun week.  Good times.
Thanks Mom & Dad!
