Just a spoon full of sugar...

Penny and I went to see Mary Poppins with my mom, aunt Birdie and Julianna and my dear cousin Megan and her daughter Ava.  It was just this side of magical.  Disney seriously knows how to do it up right.  Penny loved the song "Practically Perfect" (not in the movie) and has been singing it ever since.  I LOVED "Step in Time" (chimney-sweeps).  It was a tap number (of course) and UNBELIEVABLE!!!  Bert actually tapped on the "ceiling".... with the help of some very strong cables.  I was unabashedly bouncing up and down in my seat.  It just felt right.
During one scene, I had told Penny that when I was in 4th grade, I played the part of "Jane Banks" (show some respect :)
in our school play.  And that it had been a serious debacle when the director told me I would be kissing my father (George Banks) goodnight...because he just so happened to be the boy I was "going with." GASP!  She was giggling so hard I thought we were going to get booted from the theater!
Fun night.

How fun! Sounds like we missed something terrific. I'm glad that you girls were able to enjoy yourselves. Loved the story of you staring as Jane. You crack me up!
