"Children are a burden to a mother, but not the way a heavy box is to a mule. Our children weigh hard on my heart, and thinking about them growing up honest and healthy, or just living to grow up at all, makes a load in my chest that is bigger than the safe at the bank, and more valuable to me than all the gold inside it."
-Sarah Prine (THESE IS MY WORDS By Nancy Turner)

I just finished this book and if you haven't read it before, put it at the top of your summer reading list. This quote has been on my mind since I closed the book. Maybe because it's Mother's Day. Maybe because I'm hoping to deliver this "special delivery" anyday. Maybe because Penny is about to finish Kindergarten and after this summer she will spend more hours away from me than with me. Maybe because Jack was the first to make me feel this "burden" almost 9 years ago. I just know it reasonated with me to my CORE when I read it.

Happy Mother's Day

P.S. Thanks for the fun belly pics, Em! I love them!
